Body getting fussy

My body has developed antibodies to some proteins in the platelets I receive. The first two transfusions I received this week did not increase my platelet level. The third one did and has kept me from needing more these last two days. They have now cross-matched my blood with donors. So the next time I need platelets (probably tomorrow) they will be ones compatible with my system.

The doctors continue to be pleased with my status. I am getting the GCSF shots daily that will be jump starting my WBC production. It should three or four day until I am ready to start harvesting.

So, I think I am doing pretty darn good. I hope your week has also gone well.

Hi Dianne,
I am thinking about you. I have chosen a couple of the great photos from Alaska for our tables.
I drove down your driveway today to check on the Butterfly bush, the one you dug up from your uncle Harold...low and behold it is budding out. So are many of the plants along the driveway. After the 4th I hope to get over and get things cleaned up again for when you are home to enjoy.
Love

Hi Dianne-
Just read your blog. Congratulations on your transplant! I had one at Stanford 21 months ago and I'm doing well.
Things will improve as time goes on.
I just wanted to wish you all the best and a great recovery!
Take care,
