UCSF - Day 32

Side effects of the chemo are increasing. Today was kinda miserable except for a visit from Frances. She brought a scrapbook to put my cards in. I have received so many cards that I'm out of room on the shelf. She finished putting them in the book and I fell asleep on her.

The Natalie word of the day: CALM

Hi,Dianne!
We tried calling on Saturday, but couldn't get through. Richard is going to try again today.

We stopped to see Frances at work on our way out of Santa Rosa last weekend. Wow! What an amazing job she does. I'm not sure how she keeps all those monitors and equipment straight. It was fascinating. You must be very proud of her.

We're on our way over to Mark and Marissa's this afternoon. Richard is going to help them hang window coverings. Mark is helping Marissa's dad install new tile floors in the kitchen and entry way. Marissa can't wait to have a refrigerator and her washer and dryer inside the house! I'll see if they can send you some pictures of their house. They have really been working hard and have made lots of progress.

Richard will be in Davis this week for meetings. I think this is more of the Science and Engineering stuff he has been working on.

My niece, Jenny, and her husband, Jeff, live close to the hospital. I think they are going to try to come see you this week. I don't think you have seen Jenny for a long time. She is my sister, Judy's, daughter. They came to the family reunion this year and had a great time re-connecting with the Mahaceks. They are hoping they will get invited back next year!

We think about you all the time. Thanks for sharing Natalie's word of the day with us. What a nice idea.

Our word of the day is supercalifrigilisticexpealidocious.
Take care.
We love you,
Susan
